Day one is completed and I am toasted as I write this from our tent. We knew this would be tough but 6 hours on a constant uphill was more than I had bargained for! There is no doubt that if I had attempted this type of ride a few years ago I would have completely blew up...it was not for jokers. It took us 7.5 hours of riding to complete 64 miles. You got that right! Do you have any idea how slow we were going?? But we both kept our heads down and soldered through. The rest of the trip is going to be interesting, luckily tomorrow a significant part of miles are on the downhill with only a few steep climbs, hopefully leaving the total ride time south of 6 hours.

| We got to the site just in time...with enough light to set tent and get dinner cooking....Of course I added some supplemental lighting..I just could not help myself. |
